Millions know their music, but few know their names. In his compelling new network series CRANK!, Go Go front man Shorty Corleone shines a spotlight on the untold true story of the rise, fall, & resurrection of Go Go music ,

The inspiration and rhythm behind some of the greatest music from EDM to Hip Hop. Triumphant and heartbreaking at many turns, the series is both a tribute to the unsung bands who added funk and style to popular music, and a reflection on the conflicts, sacrifices and lost rewards of a career spent in the backround.

These gifted musicians span a range of styles, genres, and eras of popular music, but each has a uniquely fascinating and personal story to share of life spent in the shadows of superstardom.    Along with rare archival footage and a peerless soundtrack, CRANK! boasts candid interviews with legendary pioneers like Big Tony, James Funk, Marion Barry, and Chuck Brown to name just a few, for the 1st time ever.

Despite it’s challenges, this infectious brand of music has inspired the grooves of hitmakers such as Beyonce’, Jay-Z, Amarie, Ashanti, Jill Scott, Wale, and many more world-famous figures. No longer the ‘house band to hip hop’, CRANK! exposes Go Go’s diverse array of artists whose lives and stories take center stage in this new series heading to network TV this summer 2016.
